Thank you for your interest in the APPIC member Clinical and Health Psychology Postdoctoral program at Cherokee Health Systems (CHS). The primary goal of the postdoctoral fellowship is to broaden and provide more intensive training for early career psychologists looking to specialize in clinical and health psychology within a multi-disciplinary community health setting. CHS’s progressive and broad-based health services and longstanding commitment to training of psychologists and other health professionals make it a rich practice environment for professionals. Postdoctoral fellows participate in one of two unique clinical placements, including clinical child and adolescent psychology and integrated health psychology. With 45 sites in 13 counties, CHS services an increasingly diverse population with a variety of behavioral health needs, thus offering a variety of clinical training experiences.
The faculty of the training program includes 15 highly trained psychologists as well as a multidisciplinary team of health care professionals, including primary care physicians, psychiatrists, and clinical social workers.
