The safety of our team members and patients is of utmost importance. Cherokee Health Systems is requiring the COVID-19 vaccine for all team members regardless of the level of responsibility or type of duties. To ensure we are doing all we can to keep our team members, patients and community safe, new hires will be required to have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine by December 5, 2021, and fully vaccinated by January 5, 2022. Currently, one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine or two doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine is considered fully vaccinated. Individuals with medical issues or sincerely held religious beliefs that prevent them from getting the vaccine may request an exemption from the vaccine requirement by contacting the Human Resources Department for next steps.

The Health Care Scholar Internship is an opportunity for highly motivated college seniors, recent college graduates, or individuals working on graduate degrees to learn, develop, create and contribute to the communities we serve through opportunities in health care administration, operations, finance, HR, IT, analytics and marketing. The Internship is customized to the interests, skills, talents, and career goals of the Intern while making significant contributions to Cherokee Health Systems, our patients, and our communities.
