Outreach Enrollment Customer Service Representative

Location: Knox Co./Knoxville

Summary: Provides support with the daily activities of the outreach and enrollment department in order to provide the best in customer service.   This will include filing, telephone coverage, appointment scheduling, etc.

 The following duties are normal for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

Responsibilities: Include the following. 

1. Primary responsibility is to assist clients in accessing IC (Indigent Care) Services  
2. Greets clients in a friendly, courteous and professional manner.  
3. Answers patients’ questions regarding IC Services and/or Marketplace Enrollment.
4. May assist in scheduling or rescheduling of appointments for CACs.
5. Operates computer to enter and retrieve data as well as type correspondence and reports for the department
6. Assists other workers with Marketplace Enrollment Needs
7. Assists with answering the telephone, taking messages or scheduling appointments.
8. Advise clients of pertinent IC programs/requirements for which they may apply/reapply.
9. Provides patients information regarding social service agencies.
10. May collect confidential information according to established IC guidelines while maintaining confidentiality.
11. Participates in Quality Improvement (QI), Quality Assurance (QA) and Continuous Quality Improvement Activities (CQI) as appropriate.

12. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience: 

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, one year certificate from college or technical training program for medical office procedures preferred; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Communication Skills:  

Must possess the ability to communicate verbally and non-verbally with clients, coworkers and members of management.

Bilingual preferred, but not required.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software and Spreadsheet design software.
