Payroll Clerk (Morristown)

Description

SUMMARY

Compiles payroll data to maintain payroll records by performing the following duties:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Maintains electronic time system (new employees, schedules, etc.) with Kronos
  2. Reviews and edits electronic time sheets
  3. Reconciles electronic time system to computerized payroll system (Abra)
  4. Inputs and updates employee pay and benefit information into computerized payroll system
  5. Completes payroll process and produces paychecks for employees
  6. Prepares pay checks for distribution to employees
  7. Scans payroll reports for archiving
  8. Assists with other duties/tasks in accounting department as needed.
  9. PTO accrual balance reconciliation
  10. Various reports (internal and external)
  11. Maintains payroll files
  12. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent required. At least four to six years of experience preparing and processing payroll preferred

Communication Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Work Processing software and Spreadsheet design software.
