Cherokee Health Systems Provides Optometry Services at its Lenoir City Health Center

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

May 24, 2022

LENOIR CITY, Tenn.- Cherokee Health Systems is expanding its scope of health services to include optometry. As of this month, patients can make an appointment to receive high-quality eye care at Cherokee Health’s Lenoir City Health Center. As a fully licensed and equipped optometric practice, Cherokee Health offers a full range of eye care solutions for the whole family. Some of the ocular services available include pediatric eye exams, adult eye exams, treatment of conditions such as nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism, disease detection, and prescribing and fitting eyeglasses.

“We’re excited to offer this new service to people of all ages in our community. Offering optometry allows us to improve the quality of life for our patients by improving access to quality eye care and glasses,” said Cherokee Health’s Chief Operating Officer Dr. Suzanne Bailey.

Patients seeking optometry care will be treated by Dr. Nicole Lamb, who has been practicing optometry for four years. Dr. Lamb received her Bachelor of Science degree at Marist College, located in Poughkeepsie, New York. She then obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. After graduation, she did a yearlong ocular disease residency at the Mountain Home VA Healthcare System Emergency Room in Johnson City, Tennessee, before moving to Knoxville. Before coming to Cherokee Health Systems, she worked at a large ophthalmology and optometry practice providing routine eye exams and ocular disease management.

“I am thankful for the opportunity to work at Cherokee Health Systems, and I am especially excited to provide excellent vision and ocular health care for our patients,” said Dr. Lamb.

Dr. Lamb will see patients with any insurance plan, and she will also use Cherokee Health’s typical sliding scale and prompt pay discount options to help patients pay for services. You can call 1-866-231-4477 to schedule an appointment. To learn more about our Lenoir City Health Center, please visit our website at www.cherokeehealth.com/locations.
