Cherokee Health Systems to Open a New Health Center in Knoxville

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

March 28, 2022

KNOXVILLE, Tenn.- To better support the needs of its growing patient population, Cherokee Health Systems is opening a new health center in Knoxville. The new location, set to open on March 28, will expand on Cherokee’s mission of improving the quality of life for its patients through the blending of primary care and behavioral health services while making health services accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds in its surrounding community.

“We are excited to grow our integrated model of care for children and families. With this new health center space, we will be able to expand hours and services to better serve community needs. It was also important for us to remain in an accessible location for patients and collaborative partners in Knoxville,” said Dr. Parinda Khatri, Cherokee’s Chief Executive Officer.

After five months of renovations, the new health center will be located at 2240 Sutherland Ave. Suite 103 Knoxville, TN 37919 inside the Cherokee Mills building. Cherokee is grateful for GSB Contractors and other community partners who made this project a reality. 50 experienced Cherokee health professionals are eager to settle into the new health center to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to everyone regardless of their financial situation.

Services previously provided at the Dameron Avenue location, inside the Knox County Health Department, are being relocated to the Cherokee Mills Health Center. As locations change, many things will remain the same at Cherokee, one of which is the health center’s steadfast commitment to its patients. At Cherokee, its patients are the most important people in the healthcare system. Our providers will begin accepting patients at its Cherokee Mills location on March 28.
