Mobile Clinic

The Cherokee Health Systems Mobile Clinic is the newest extension of Cherokee’s brick-and-mortar primary and behavioral health care health centers. Cherokee’s 38-foot health center on wheels is bringing comprehensive healthcare services to the underserved populations across East Tennessee. By partnering with community agencies, Cherokee can address various social determinants of health by hosting mobile clinic events that meet the healthcare needs of its growing community.

Features and Services:

  • Health services include primary and acute care, COVID-19 and flu vaccines, behavioral health consultations, substance use treatment, infectious disease education and prevention (rapid HIV and hep C testing), and referrals to community resources.
  • The CHS Mobile Clinic serves its neighbors at various locations on pre-scheduled dates/times to meet the needs of its community members.
  • The CHS Mobile Clinic serves those who have limited or no access to care, regardless of their ability to pay for services.
  • The CHS Mobile Clinic has two fully equipped exam rooms, a large exterior electric retractable awning to provide shade, and wireless access to the Cherokee Health Systems Electronic Health Record System
  • The mobile clinic team consists of a nurse practitioner, registered nurse, behavioral health professional, patient services representative, virtual care assistant, mobile unit driver, PrEP navigator, and a peer support specialist.
