We understand that prescription medications are an important piece of treating acute and chronic conditions, and we're proud to have offered affordable in-house pharmacy services since 2005. Our Lenoir City, Knoxville-Center City and Alcoa health centers serve as our main pharmacies. We also provide telepharmacy services at our health centers in Maynardville and Morristown. Telepharmacy means pharmacy technicians issue prescriptions and provide medication counseling while being overseen by a pharmacist at another location through the use of telecommunication equipment.

How to Pay for Medicine

Patients can receive reduced price prescription medications at every Cherokee Health Systems pharmacy, including telepharmacy sites. This is because our pharmacies participate in the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration's 340B Drug Pricing Program, which allows us to purchase medications at a reduced rate that is passed on to our patients.  This includes brand name medications!

We also offer patient assistance programs to those who are totally uninsured and meet certain income requirements. Offered through collaboration with multiple drug manufacturers, patients at Cherokee Health Systems can enroll in one or more of the patient assistance programs and receive certain medications absolutely free of charge.
